I think that my two 10 acre tracts are the most beautiful place on earth. The stars at night take my breath away.

We can't say enough good things about our recent trip to see the land we purchased sight unseen. For less than $500 through Priceline we set up our trip to visit Fred & Tom. Both are two of the best people we have ever met. They spent over three and a half hours on a Saturday taking us around Antelope Acres and we were even fortunate enough to meet the owner of the land next to ours. We have spent months looking for land in various areas, and after our trip, we are convinced there is no other place we would rather be.

In October of 2000, my wife and I made a trip to Texas to inspect the land we had previously bought sight unseen. We were pleasantly surprised. We have a beautiful view of the Guadalupe Mountains. There is a surprising amount of interesting foliage on this high desert property, and we were in luck as some was still in bloom when we arrived. We had originally considered our ten acres as strictly vacation property, but after our inspection, we might build our primary residence there. It appears that others are doing the same. The price was more than reasonable, and the sellers were charming and extremely helpful. This was a triple A plus experience.

Our recent trip to Texas was an extremely pleasurable and informative trip. Not only did we enjoy the sights and people, but our introduction and visit with Fred was a delight. He was very friendly and helpful during our visit. He took the time to take us to the property and show us around and answer our questions. Since then we have had several questions and have sent emails to him for answers. He has taken the time to answer them and has promptly sent replies. He has gone out of his way to help us find the people we need to contact to make future improvements on our property. We feel real confident about our investment we have made with him and Antelope Acres...

Found this incredible offer on Yahoo auctions. Bought 10 acres, sight unseen, for almost nothing!! Fred even gave me a phone number of a local Manufactured Home dealer in El Paso. When we took a vacation and went to order our new home, we visited our site. We liked it so much we bought another 10 acres next to it. Great buy, beautiful country, friendly people. Hope to be moved by Christmas.

Fred, I would like to take the time to thank both you and Tom for the tour out to Antelope Acre Estates. I really appreciate the time the two of you had to show me around and then dinner later that evening. You have given me the confidence I needed having decided upon making a purchase at Antelope Acre Estates. The web page is professionally formulated and enticing. I had no hesitation flying all the way from Norway to greet the estate owners and see the land! It has been many years last I was in El Paso, and I see the growth rate is increasing the whole time. I do believe, after my short visit to El Paso and the estates, land at Antelope Acre Estates will be a solid investment in the future. I loved the area. And as the web page states you really get away from it all. This is nature at it's best.

Thank you guys,

I made a special trip from the Colorado Springs area to look at the property. I was so delighted with the area that I bought 30 acres. The desert vegetation is stunning. Fred and his partner showed me the area. It was a pleasure to deal with them. They do not use a "hard sell" approach. Their manner is very easy going as the property sells itself. We are looking very much forward to actually occupying our land.

It all began for me in October 2000 when I came across the Antelope Acre Estates (AAE) web page. I contacted Fred via e-mail and before I knew it, I was leaving South Bend and heading to West Texas to look at the property. I met Fred and Tom at the property and they showed me around for a couple hours. They allowed me to camp at AAE while I looked for the perfect site and in three days I found it. Building construction began in November. Fred and Tom were helpful in the early construction process and even assisted me with the concrete pour for the garage. Oh, by the way, there is truth in advertising; I see antelope frequently and cattle and rabbits and... but I have yet to see any snakes in over a year.

Fred and Tom, We sure enjoyed meeting with both of you over the Memorial Day weekend. We appreciate the time you took walking over the property with us and showing us the well etc. We enjoyed the visit with the neighbors whom you introduced us to and we learned much from them about desert living.
We spent the rest of that day and night on the property. We walked over it, taking many pictures and throughly enjoying the views. The birds played and sang all around us. We found several bird's nests in the brush and mesquite trees. Several nests had eggs and one had baby birds in it. We peeped at them, being sure not to disturb. We saw two jack rabbits about dark, then again the next morning. They would almost come up to the camper. The cactus was still in bloom and as I stated before, we took many pictures. All, was totally undisturbed nature at its best.
We took a hike through the draw, over to the smallest mountain, towards the north east. We climbed about half way up the mountain, taking pictures of even more beautiful cactus and rocks. We found one big boulder near the foot of the mountain that had pictographs on it. We saw a mountain lion's track, in a wash, on our way back to the camper.
We finished hiking late in the afternoon and returned to the property, in time to watch a beautiful sunset. Before the sun went down it cast such a soft, pink glow onto the Guadalupe Mountains, to the east, that it was picturesque. As the mountains to the east fell into shadow, we looked west and watched the sun set, portraying a panorama of orange and red on the horizon that illuminated the entire desert.
As night fell we sat outside, playing the guitar softly and talking but mostly just listening to the quiet. The sky was not blanketed with stars that night, because the moon was shining so brightly, but many stars were still visible. The desert night was as equally magnificent and awe-inspiring as the sunset.
We went to bed expecting maybe to hear the distant howl of coyotes or other wild night life, but we did not. I awoke during the night, or possibly early morning hours, as the moon was decending. It was casting a shaded veil of light across the desert and its stillness, that caused me to feel a sense of tranquility in which immediately allowed me to fall back asleep. I assure you that is very unusual for me.
The next morning, we had breakfast outside, laughing at the little jack rabbits scampering about and throughly enjoying the serenity and feeling the harmony and unity with nature.
We left about mid-day and visited our nearest little town, (per se) of Cornudas. We met the proprietors and had lunch there with them before leaving for the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. We then continued on with our trip since we had another couple with us. We were wishing all the time, of course, that we could just go back to the land and spend the rest of the week there. Be assured, we will next time.
Again, many thanks! As we told you on the property, the day we met, seldom is people or things all they appear but you and your word was all that you implicated. We received much assurance in mankind from dealing and meeting with you.

Sincerely,

J and J Holsomback
